Despite amazing success throughout the band's almost 50 years together, it took Chicago until 2016 to officially be enshrined in the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame.  Now just one year later, the 3 primary songwriters of those incredible Chicago classics will receive another Hall Of Fame honor.

Robert Lamm (keyboards/vocals), James Pankow (trombone), & Peter Cetera (bass guitar/vocals) have been named to the Songwriters Hall Of Fame "Class of 2017".  The induction ceremony will take place in New York City on June 15th.  Typically, the honorees perform at the event, but there's been no word yet about that.  You'll recall Cetera, who left Chicago for a solo career in 1985, did not rejoin his former group on stage at last year's Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame show.

Check out the band in this 1970 live performance of Robert Lamm's "25 or 6 to 4".  It's Chicago at it's best!
