The Seattle Times points out that the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. has now been dead longer than he lived.  That's amazing to me, and the fact that his legacy has lived longer, proves just how special he was.

We celebrate in January because the Rev. Dr. King's birthday was January 15th.  He was killed on April 4th, 1968 on the balcony of the Lorraine Hotel just off Beale Street in Memphis.

I don't know about you, but I'm thankful that visionaries like Martin Luther King Jr. exist, and put everything on the line to pursue their passion and push against the things that they think need a nudge.

Yesterday in Alabama, Oprah and several people associated with the movie Selma, staged a march to honor Dr. King.  They're also planning several events today in Alabama, along with free screenings of the movie.

Sometimes I feel like I should be doing more with my life than I'm doing.  Do you?

Thanks Rev. Dr. King, for the sacrifice.
