Tyler Parks and Recreation Hosting an Art Contest
Tyler Parks and Recreation has teamed up with Republic Services to host an art contest. The city is wanting art that features the various parks in the city or a specific landmark inside a park.
The art must be your own, handmade project. It should also feature a general park setting, like the field at Bergfeld Park or a specific landmark like the baseball fields at Faulkner Park.
It is for ages 6 and up with entries categorized in four age groups:
- 6 to 10 years old
- 11 to 14 years old
- 15 to 18 years old
- 19 years old and up
Once the artwork is done, take a photo of the piece, download the registration form and email it all to disham@tylertexas.com. From there, the pieces will be shown off in a gallery on the Tyler Parks and Recreation Facebook page. Entries will be accepted through June 19.
A first, second and third place cash prize will awarded in each age group.
