Train Collides into Big Rig Stuck on the Tracks in Calvert, Texas

Yesterday a train and a big rig collided in Calvert, TX at Greg Street and Railroad Street. 

According to KBTX News, Robertson County Sheriff's office reported that the truck was stuck on the tracks. The train conductor was transported to a hospital as a result of a back injury, but the driver of the 18 wheeler and his dog made it out of the vehicle in time before the collision.

The driver called the number at the light to get assistance and he saw the train coming from a distance. He thought it was going to stop, considering a semi was sitting on the tracks, but it didn't.
