These Cookies Sum Up How All Texas Feels

They are coming for our Blue Bell, and Lufkin isn't going to take it anymore. Local bakery Confections is making these Texas shaped cookies, and they have hit us right in the feels. Going along with our long standing campaign on litter on Texas roads, we now have a "Don't Mess With Our Bluebell" and a "Don't Lick Our Bluebell" cookie, among other sentiments written in frosting.

I have had these cookies before, and no matter what they say on them, they are delicious. They are working hard to have some ready for this weekend. So if you are in need of something to sweeten up your mood, this is the way to go. Bluebell Ice Cream is a Lufkin, nay Texas institution. We  have been with them though the good times and the bad.

I remember as a kid my uncle lived in Arkansas. Every holiday he came to Nacogdoches, he left with more than a few cartons of Blue Bell for his freezer. This was way back in the day, so I always wondered how he got them home still frozen.

Don't mess with our Bluebell, or anything else for that matter. We have had quite a week, and we just dodged a Hurricane, you could be next on the list.
