If you're a fan of the hit TV show "America's Got Talent" then you've seen the amazing performances put on by The Players Choir, made up of retired and active NFL players.

For fourteen years, the Players Choir has been one of the most anticipated performances during Super Bowl Weekend. Making its debut in 2008 in Phoenix, Arizona at the 9th Annual Super Bowl Gospel Celebration (SBGC), the choir launched with more than 40 active and former players.

Players Choir members have included some of the NFL’s most popular and talented players on and off the field.

Developed by Super Bowl Gospel Celebration Founder and Executive Producer Melanie Few with a core group of Christian NFL players who wanted to share their faith through song, the Players Choir includes Super Bowl Champions, Pro Bowlers, NFL Men of the Year and Pro Football Hall of Fame inductees. The collective’s popularity has led to performances benefiting charitable organizations such as St. Jude Children’s Hospital and the American Cancer Society, as well as uplifting audiences with their songs of praise at other featured appearances.

The Players Choir made its first appearance on NBC’s America’s Got Talent (AGT) in June performing the iconic Bill Withers song, “Lean on Me,” which became a viral hit on the AGT YouTube channel.

After receiving positive feedback from the judges, the Players Choir returned in the first live show on Tuesday, August 9 with a blockbuster performance of Justin Timberlake’s chart-topping smash, “Can’t Stop The Feeling,” which brought the house to its feet.

Despite a strong performance, The Players Choir landed in the top 5 acts but did not pass through to the Las Vegas finals.

The group is still in contention for a “wild card” spot in the finals, but fans must support the choir with strong social media engagement to land this coveted opportunity!
