Disney is the king of entertainment right now. They own Star Wars, they own Marvel, they have their own 60-70 year collection of movies and now own the 20th Century Fox properties. Yeah, Disney is the true king of the jungle right now.

Over the last 10 years, give or take, Disney has undergone a reimagining of their classic franchises like Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, The Jungle Book and others. A lot of this is due to advancements in technology that allow for a life like realization to the fantasy aspect of their animated counterparts.

We have Aladdin that will be coming out this year that proves to be a spectacle for our eyes. But the one I am most looking forward to is The Lion King. I can't count how many times I watched the 90's animated classic on VHS as a kid. It is by far my favorite of the Disney classics.

Needless to say, I am super hyped for the "live action" Lion King coming out July 19. Simba and his adventures with Timon and Pumba, Mufasa passing on his wisdom, Scar doing his dastardly best to take control of the kingdom. I'm all in.

While it would be nice to have all the original voices back like Billy Crystal as Timon and Jeremy Irons as Scar, I think Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, Billy Eichner as Timon, Seth Rogen as Pumba, Keegan-Michael Key as the hyena Kamari, among others, is perfect casting.

See ya'll at the movies, my friends.
