An all-star lineup of musicians, led by Allman Brothers Band guitarist Warren Hayes & legendary vocalist Dr. John, is paying tribute to the 40th anniversary of the final concert performance by The Band.

"The Last Waltz" was captured on film & turned into a renowned documentary movie by iconic Hollywood director Martin Scorsese.  Now, "The Last Waltz 40 Tour" has added 4 Lone Star State dates, & tickets go on sale today.

  • Thursday, March 30 - Verizon Theare at Grand Prairie, Dallas
  • Friday, March 31 - Revention Music Center, Houston
  • Saturday, April 1 - Bass Concert Hall, Austin
  • Sunday, April 2 - The Tobin Center for the Performing Arts, San Antonio

The first stop is at the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, with a show at Grand Prairie's Verizon Theatre on Thursday March 30th.  The next night the concert moves to Houston's Texas Revention Music Center, then it's on to Bass Concert Hall in Austin on Saturday April 1st.  Their last stop is on April 2nd at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts.

Sidenote:  Bass Hall is an outstanding venue - I saw Neil Young do a solo acoustic show there several years back.  The final Texas date is Sunday April 2nd at San Antonio's Tobin Center For The Performing Arts.
