We all know that crime happens everywhere, although we appreciate it not happening in our community. The fact is that you hear about crimes all the time from news sources or seeing their mugshots posted online after being arrested. Even knowing that crime is all around us I will admit I feel safe living here in Texas, but I decided to ask the artificial intelligence program Chat GPT to see what common crimes were committed in Texas and I was a little shocked at the answer. 

While I do understand that crime happens everywhere I was thinking the common crimes that happen were all going to be petty things such as speeding and other traffic violations, but the crimes were much more severe than I thought. Some of the common crimes that made the list which you can see below are even violent. It’s just shocking to me because I don’t see much crime and I try to avoid situations like that, so I don’t think about crime all that often.
