(KNUE-FM) Texans are proud of our country, our state, and the freedoms we enjoy. It’s wonderful seeing so many people truly care and appreciate all that we have here in the Lone Star State. One day that pride is always on display is, of course, Independence Day.

Texans Go BIG on the 4th of July

There have been a lot of people that have moved to Texas recently and I hope everyone is ready for the big ol’ party on the 4th of July. I’m almost certain it’s going to be bigger than in years past because the 4th of July coming up will fall on a Friday. That means most people will have the next day off which means the party will go later into the night.

We Need to Show Respect on the 4th of July

I’ve always loved celebrating the 4th of July, its tradition, it brings the family together, and there is always delicious food around. But I know that fireworks can scare pets and Veterans dealing with PTSD.

Everyone has the right to celebrate the holiday, just try to be respectful of your neighbors. You can still celebrate without being a jerk or a Karen. And please, don’t waste law enforcement’s time calling 911 unless there is an actual emergency.

When Should Fireworks Stop on the 4th of July?

What time do you think people should stop lighting off fireworks on the 4th of July? I’ve had neighbors still lighting things off at 2:30am on the 5th of July. My dogs didn’t love that part, but I understand that people want to celebrate so I didn’t get mad about it.

Just curious your thoughts on when you think people should be done with fireworks. Feel free to shoot me an email and let me know your thoughts, billy.jenkins@townsquaremedia.com.

Have a wonderful 4th of July holiday, stay safe!
