We all know that drugs are trafficked through Texas, no matter how much law enforcement does to try to stop it.

Drugs are available in every state across the country.

But I can promise there are some unhappy drug dealers as recently the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) reported that they seized almost $7 million dollars in cocaine at a port of entry.

Lots of Cocaine Seized at Texas Border

This latest incident took place on Thursday, March 6th, 2025, when a semitruck attempted to cross into the U.S. in the Rio Grande Valley.

The driver was identified as 33-year-old Mario Robledo, after the drugs were discovered, he was arrested and charged with manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance.

Robledo is a Mexican national and was booked into the Hidalgo County jail near Edinburg, Texas.

Truck Was Suspected of Smuggling Drugs by CBP

There was something about this truck that didn’t sit right with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) which is why DPS special agents and troopers responded to the Pharr Port of Entry to search the truck.

It didn’t take long for agents to find 150 plastic wrapped bundles of cocaine concealed in a cargo area of the truck.

The cocaine in total weighed 500 pounds and had a street value of $6.8 million dollars.

This case is still under investigation by the Texas DPS Criminal Investigations Division.

Once again, we cannot thank the Border Patrol agents and all law enforcement in Texas for working hard daily to keep drugs off the streets here in the Lone Star State.

Parents Should Familiarize Themselves with These Illegal Drugs
