For a movie that hasn’t been written yet and is still four years away from its release, we sure seem to know a lot about the upcoming Indiana Jones movie. We know that both Steven Spielberg and Harrison Ford will return, John Williams will write the score, George Lucas isn’t writing the story, and Indiana Jones will not get killed at the end of the movie. We also know that Disney is tinkering with giving the Indiana Jones franchise the Star Wars treatment, possibly exploring a combination of prequels, sequels, and standalone films all taking place in the Indiana Jones universe.

When the rumors began to spread that Lucasfilm wanted Chris Pratt to star in a new Indiana Jones reboot, many “insiders” tried to refute those claims by saying an Indiana Jones reboot would never happen. But now, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy has confirmed that a new Indiana Jones movie is on the way, saying it “will one day be made” at Disney.

When Disney made that big purchase of Lucasfilm way back when, not only did it encompass the beloved 'Star Wars' franchise, but also 'Indiana Jones,' the latter of which is easily forgettable as the long-gestating 'Indiana Jones 5' has shied away from headlines recently. However, with Disney set to distribute any potential new installments of the Harrison Ford-led films, more are likely on the way
