AUSTIN — Two bills to expand gun rights that had been expected to fly through the Republican-controlled Texas Legislature have instead hit several snags and will need a big push during this final week of the session if they are to become law.
A year from now you could be walking down the street and see someone walking next to you, carrying a handgun in a holster.
But here's what has to happen first.
One school in Texas has joined the ranks of many others in the state to allow certain teachers on campus to carry concealed weapons.
And they're not scared to tell that story, either.
Up until now, if a gun show was held at a venue that allows alcohol, drink sales were suspended during the show.
But soon you may be browsing around at a gun show with a beer in hand, if you're so inclined.
