In a very negative world it's great to see positive things happening around East Texas.

A stranger surprised me last weekend by picking up my tab at a restaurant, so I paid it forward to keep the good vibes going. But I was surprised about how bad I felt afterward.

Looking around my neighborhood, it seems like people are quick to chip in and help if it's needed, but Idaho is getting its butt kicked when it comes to generosity overall.

Granted, the lottery win was small and the pay-it-forward deed was too, but everyone who saw it happen had a big smile on their face. Tis the season for generosity in East Texas.
