The energy industry continues to grow, and Texas may be benefiting from the oil and natural gas boom.
But as USA Today points out, all of the growth and success doesn't come without a few headaches.
Turmoil in the Middle East is nothing new. Gas prices going up is nothing new. What is new is the possibility that we could be looking at prices at the pump lurking in the neighborhood of $5 a gallon by the summer. And that’s painful.
I just heard a report this morning that says gas prices are expected to drop as much as 50 cents by this summer! Actually maybe as soon as June! This can't come soon enough. Gas is nearly $1.00 higher than it was at the beginning of the year, and the closer it gets to $4.00 per gallon, the less I am spending on other things that help keep the economy healthy.
