With summer behind us, the weather in East Texas is a bit more tolerable and definitely turning more favorable for our weekend events!

The countdown is on to the opening of the 100th East Texas State Fair!

The countdown is on and soon I'll be able to sink my teeth into some good ole fair food and wrap by fingers around the lap bars of the rides and take in the somewhat pleasant and unpleasant smells in the agriculture building at the East Texas Fair!

The East Texas State Fair is on this week through Sunday.  Listen throughout the week to  win family 4-packs to the fair. You will have to score your own deep-fried something on-a-stick.

This Friday (Sept. 20) will the opening day for the East Texas State Fair. This means that the area of Front Street near the fairgrounds will be loaded with traffic and pedestrians. Here is how you should treat this area during the time the fair is in town.

Fall is officially here, which means that fall events are in full swing! There are a lot of things going on around East Texas this weekend. You've got the fair where you can go have a blast and eat a ton of unhealthy, fried, amazing food, or you can go visit the ArtWalk in Downtown Tyler! There's something for everyone.
