Video game fans have been anxiously awaiting the release of 'Call of Duty: Black Ops II,' which hits shelves tomorrow (Nov. 13). It was previously announced that Avenged Sevenfold's song 'Carry On' would be part of the game's soundtrack, but now we've learned the band makes an appearance in the game, as well.

Rap/metal collaborations have been common since Anthrax and Public Enemy teamed up for 'Bring the Noise.' Now, Avenged Sevenfold vocalist M. Shadows and guitarist Synyster Gates have lent their talents to a new song by hip-hop artist Machine Gun Kelly.

Avenged Sevenfold recently had to cancel their show that was scheduled today (May 1) in Jakarta, Indonesia. Citing safety issues, the band took to its website to apologize for the missed show.

Avenged Sevenfold took home the 2012 honor for ‘Best Live Band,’ while A7x fans were recognized as the ‘Most Dedicated’ at the 2012 Revolver Golden Gods Awards on April 11.

As Avenged Sevenfold and music fans worldwide honor the memory of Jimmy ‘The Rev’ Sullivan on what would have been his 31st birthday, Jimmy’s mom took some time to check in with a touching letter to fans. Born James Sullivan, ‘The Rev’ died at the age of 28, due to an accidental overdose of prescription drugs.

Ever since Avenged Sevenfold drummer Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan died in December of 2009, fans have been wondering if the band will ever make a new album.  In a recent interview with UK magazine Kerrang!, frontman M. Shadows said that he is eager to get into the studio to start working on the band's sixth studio album.

Dec. 28 marks the second anniversary of the death of Avenged Sevenfold drummer The Rev. The stickman, born James Sullivan, died at the age of 28, due to an accidental overdose of a mixture of prescription drugs. An enlarged heart was suggested as another thing that could have factored into the kit minder’s tragic and untimely death.
