September 11, 2001 is one day that no American will ever, ever forget. Whether you were in New York City, at work, at home, at school - you will always remember where you were the moment that you heard about the Twin Towers being hit. Tonight's opening game between the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Jets will be a special game not only because we are all eager to start the 2011 NFL season but because of the emotionally charged 9/11 anniversary. The September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks claimed the lives of 2,977 victims. The name of each victim is listed below.

Peg Ogonowski’s late husband, John, was the captain of American Flight 11 — better known as the first plane to hit the World Trade Center on September 11th, 2001. “It was that moment of before and after,” said Peg, a former flight attendant. “There was my whole life before and then everything changed. It was a real line in my life that there will always be before 9/11 and after 9/11.”
