Three-time castaway Russell Hantz may not be wreaking havoc on the upcoming season of ‘Survivor,’ but he won’t be completely removed from the drama — his nephew Brandon Hantz is part of the new cast.

But unlike his uncle, Brandon says he’s a team player and adds, “I think I can be cocky, but I don’t want to be known as a disrespectful or arrogant person.”

‘Survivor’ host Jeff Probst isn’t so sure. “You wonder how much of that blood is in there—is he going to be as evil as Russell was? From talking to him, I feel like he’s a pretty good kid. But it’s always in the back of my mind, is he even better than Russell? Is he BS’ing me?”

The ‘Survivor: South Pacific’ cast also includes two beauty queens, a Harvard law student, and singer-songwriter Whitney Duncan, whose cousin, Holly Bobo, was famously abducted last spring and is still missing.

Repeating themes seen in previous seasons, both tribes will be surprised with a past ‘Survivor’ castaway, who’ll be revealed next Monday. And, in an element also brought back from last season, contestants who are voted off will be sent to Redemption Island to vie against another castoff for a chance to return to the game.

The 90-minute season premiere of ‘Survivor: South Pacific’ airs Wednesday, September 14 on CBS.
