Stephen King Reads Creepy Excerpt From ‘Shining’ Sequel ‘Dr. Sleep’
Horror master Stephen King wowed a crowd at George Mason University recently when he read excerpts from ‘Dr. Sleep,’ his upcoming sequel to ‘The Shining.’
The story finds a grown-up Danny Torrance, the young boy from ‘The Shining,’ using his special psychic abilities against a band of vampires.
It will be interesting to see if King brings the famous Overlook hotel from ‘The Shining’ into the sequel, considering how classic the creepy locale has become in pop culture. Based on the passage King read to fans at George Mason, it’s safe to say ‘Dr. Sleep’ will feature King’s patented mix of chills and overly detailed descriptions of classic cars.
Horror fans will want to check out footage of the author reading an excerpt from ‘Dr. Sleep.’ Halloween is right around the corner.
