***** UPDATE 08.21.24 *****

Becoming that ghost, superhero, clown, alien, dirty nurse or doctor, even werewolf or something else will be much easier for Tyler, Texas residents who were concerned that Spirit Halloween wouldn't open a location in Tyler this year.

Spirit Halloween will be opening a store in Tyler!

After re-checking the Spirit Halloween stores website, there are plans to open in the French Quarter, in the former Pier 1 Imports location, at the corner of Loop 323 and S. Broadway Ave. An opening date has not been announced as of this writing.

This is great news because many Tyler and surrounding area residents were concerned that there was not going to be a seasonal store for them to shop at and get dressed up for Halloween. While many of the company's stores have already been opened there was not a location listed for Tyler.

When I first wrote about this there were lots of comments on our social media feeds giving us suggestions about open retail space, reasons why we wouldn't see a location to people writing to the corporate office wanting a store! Whatever happened Tyler residents will be happy to learn about the news.

Spirit Halloween also announced the opening of a location in Nacogdoches at 3801 North St., formerly Party Things.

Once open, you'll find just about anything you need to complete that perfect Halloween costume!

----- ORIGINAL ARTICLE -----

It's going to shock a lot of East Texans when they learn that the largest city in the region will not be receiving at least one Spirit Halloween store this year, especially when they're accustomed to shopping at two or three locations in the past several years.

Tyler will not have a single Spirit Halloween store this year.

While I was working on this I noticed on the Spirit Halloween website there was not a single location listed. I decided to call their customer service number and they confirmed there would not be a location in the Rose City for the 2024 Halloween season.

However, that all could change, so if you happen to see a location pop up please email me and let me know and then I'll update this article.

In the meantime ghosts, goblins, ghouls, super heoroes, doctors, nurses, villians, cheerleaders, cowboys, football players, pop stars, princesses, clowns, aliens, werewolves and countless other very imaginable creatures will be out ringing your doorbell saying 'Trick Or Treat' in hopes of receiving a full-sized candy bar on Halloween night.

Before those creatures hit the streets to find the candy jackpot, they must first decide upon what they're going to be dressed up as.

WIth the big night just two-and-a-half months away, at the time of this writing, it'll be here before you know it. There is plenty of time to narrow down and perfect that Halloween costume that you have in mind.

You can go about creating your own costume from things you have around the house, or you can create a look by purchasing itmes from a local thrift store, or go all out and get the full themed costume from one of the largest Halloween retailers in the US, Spirit Halloween.

Spirit Halloween will have anything you need to complete your look. From fake blood, to fangs and horns, to glitter spray hair color, wigs and masks to armor and weapons, wings and all kinds of fake jewelry. It's the perfect accessory place if you're creating a look from scratch.

If you don't have the creative gene in you, you can always purchase a full costume with all the accessories included!
