Spend The Night Inside An Old Bank At This Cool Texas AirBnB
Remember The Viral Video "Where The Money Reside?" Let Me Refresh Your Memory.
Well there's a pretty cool AirBnB located in a small Central Texas town where you can actually spend the night with the family at a place where money "used to" reside: An Old National Bank Building.
The Bartlett National Bank is described as a one of a kind stay in the most photographed town in Texas.
The hosts share details about the historic bank which was opened in 1904 and was an operating bank until the 1930's. It was rescued from its abandoned state and has been lovingly restored. You can walk down historic brick streets and window shop in a variety of shops.
The Bank contains many original features including the vaults.
There are 2 vaults that we haven't broken into yet so maybe you can have shot at cracking one open and checking for what's inside during your stay. There's also 2 bedrooms in the old banker office space and a kitchen in what was the old teller station with the teller walls still in tact.
The Bank Managers office is now a study and contains letters originally written in that very office in the early 1920's. The old bank vaults serve as a pantry and wine cellar. The soaring ceilings showcase the true beauty of this historic building. You'll be able to gaze at the detail while resting on the sleeper sofa in the bank lobby turned living room.
