Sonic Limeades for Learning Could Benefit Kids in East Texas

Sonic Drive-In is teaming up once again this year with DonorsChoose.org, a non-profit organization whose mission is to help teachers find resouces for classroom projects.  The "Limeades for Learning" program is set to award more than $500,000 to various classrooms in local communities across the United States.  More after the jump.

The "Limeades for Learning" project will last 5 weeks (August 31 - October 1). Here are a few of the details on how to get involved:

Educators:

Over the past 2 years Sonic has helped 3,143 classrooms!  Register your creative classroom project by the end of August! Get all the details at LimeadesForLearning.com!

Public:

Anyone with a valid email address can vote for their favorite teacher's project.  Voting is limited to once per day.

Sonic customers can get two extra votes with any Sonic purchase. A special code will be on your Sonic bag sticker!

I encourage everyone to get involved with this worthwhile cause.  Weather or not the money goes to a classroom here in East Texas or not, go vote so that some of these hard working teachers from across the country to have their project funded!  If you are a teacher from here in East Texas, submit your classroom project before the end of August so that you can be in the running!  Good luck!
