Sebastian Bach has known Phil Anselmo for a long time — and loved his music — but that doesn't mean Bach isn't willing to hold Anselmo publicly accountable when it's called for.

Anselmo's taken plenty of heat since being caught on camera making a Nazi salute and yelling "white power" after his performance at the 2106 Dimebash concert. The former Pantera singer quickly explained that he was joking, and insisted "white power" referred to the white wine he'd been drinking that night, but his explanation hasn't convinced a number of people — apparently including Bach.

Bach weighed in on the controversy on Twitter, reminding followers that rock 'n' roll is supposed to be about fun. "People who say White Power are P---IES," he wrote, adding that it's everyone's responsibility to speak up about racially motivated hatred.

Anselmo, for his part, posted a video apology for the incident, saying he "completely" deserves the blowback he's experienced since the video was posted, and again insisting that the offending clip doesn't really represent who he is.

"Anyone who knows me and my true nature knows that I don’t believe in any of that; I don’t wanna be part of any group," said Anselmo. "I’m an individual and I am a thousand percent apologetic to anyone that took offense to what I said, because you should have taken offense to what I said. And I am so sorry, and I hope you just … Just give me another chance. I love all of you. And anyone who’s met me, anyone who knows me knows that I love all of you. Bless you."
