When the temperature in Dallas, Texas hits 97 in a few months we'll all be looking for a place to seek some relief to cool off from the heat. Come on now who am I kidding, when the temperature hits 90 we're looking for a place to cool off especially when you add in the humidity.

Lots of Texans turn to a pool, splash pad, or waterpark to find that relief and we're extremely lucky to have a top-rated waterpark right here in Texas.

Schlitterbahn Waterpark in New Braunfels is hanging in as one of the five best in the nation. Keeping company with Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and Cedar Point Shores in Ohio. SwimOutlet listed Schlitterbahn New Braunfels as the most sought-after waterpark to go to in the nation.

Schlitterbahn New Braunfels came in third based on reviews from Google and TripAdvisor. Guests, including myself, just love this waterpark. SwimOutlet also looked at ticket prices, the number of attractions, and the facilities when creating their list.

Two huge attractions make this waterpark a favorite among Texans - The Falls and being able to float part of the Comal River when you're floating the Congo River Expedition.

Schlitterbahn New Braunfels is a unique waterpark because it's two separate waterparks. You have the original side whose slides and chutes are fed by spring water from the Comal River, which can be chilly at times. The other section park is a quick tram or bus ride away where the pools are filled with traditional chlorinated water.

Between the two 'sides' of the park there are dozens of slides, water coasters, wave pools, lazy rivers, and tubes for you to soak up some sun and catch some relief from the heat in the cool waters of Schlitterbahn New Braunfels.

One of my favorite attractions is The Falls. It's a huge lazy river on steroids. Just grab a float and chute the rapids, float the river and you don't have to worry about climbing any stairs to run through it again because you sit back and an oversized conveyor belt will carry you to the top to do it all over again!

There's no wonder that Schlitterbahn New Braunfels is in the top five waterparks in the nation.

There are currently two Schlitterbahn Waterparks in Texas - New Braunfels and Galveston - opening day for the parks is April 20, 2024.

Vanity (or personalized) license plates on vehicles can be fun and whimsical. Some owners get very creative when it comes to the right combination of letters and numbers to get their message across in those precious seven characters or less. However, the State of Texas didn't approve the requests to have these personalized plates printed.
