Mr. Peanut's iconic Nutmobile is touring the country and it'll be in Tyler this weekend!

As you know, the mascot for Planters Peanuts has recently gone through a change. In a tragic accident, Mr. Peanut passed away as a result of self sacrifice on January 22nd at the age of 104 to save his friends. This is according to Planters' Twitter account on that day. On Super Bowl Sunday it was revealed that Mr. Peanut has been resurrected and replaced by Baby Nut.

Now we're pretty sure Baby Nut isn't near old enough or coordinated enough to drive the Nutmobile, but someone from Planter's will be driving the famous over sized peanut through the streets of East Texas as it makes a couple of stops in Tyler this weekend. Look for the over sized nut to be at the following locations:

  • Brookshire's on Fifth St. in Tyler on Friday, March 6th from 12n - 5p
  • Super 1 Foods on Gentry Parkway in Tyler on Sunday, March 8th from 11a - 4p
Peanutters' (those working with the Nutmobile) how many peanuts does it weigh and if Mr. Peanut were still alive could he stand up straight inside the Nutmobile.
