My father-in-law was a huge Chicago Cubs fan. So, when I learned that the Cubs have chosen a mascot for the first time in the organizations history, I was excited. The Chicago Cubs now have a furry "bear" wearing a baseball cap as their mascot. Is it just me, or does it look more like a chipmunk?

In fact, some think the new mascot resembles a famous chipmunk -- Alvin! You know, now that I think about it, it does!

The mascot, known as “Clark," has the same black nose and big grin, just like Alvin the Chipmunk. What's up with that? The Cubs' "Clark" wears its cap backwards instead of the bill in front like Alvin.

I'm not sure how my father-in-law would have felt about a mascot, but my gut tells me he would have scoffed at it. Hopefully the mascot brings the team some better luck this season.
