NFL Executive Coming To Tyler To Support East Texas Crisis Center
Texas has one of the highest rates of domestic violence in the U.S., with thousands seeking refuge and support annually.
Survivors of domestic violence in Texas face significant challenges, yet they demonstrate remarkable resilience. Organizations like the East Texas Crisis Center provide critical resources, including shelters, legal aid, and counseling.
Survivors often face barriers such as financial dependency, fear of retaliation, and limited access to services, particularly in rural areas. Despite these hurdles, many survivors find strength in community support, legal protections, and advocacy, working towards rebuilding their lives and breaking the cycle of abuse.
The East Texas Crisis Center (ETCC) is honored to present the “Advancing the Game” luncheon, featuring Troy Vincent, Executive Vice President of Operations for the NFL.
Vincent was a first-round pick of the Miami Dolphins in the 1992 Draft and went on to play 15 seasons in the NFL for the Dolphins, Philadelphia Eagles, Buffalo Bills and Washington Commanders. He made five Pro Bowl appearances and was selected as an All-Pro three times as well as a winner of the NFL's Walter Payton Man Of The Year Award.
He has been nominated to the NFL Pro Football Hall of Fame and has been inducted into the Hall of Fames for the Philadelphia Eagles, the State of Pennsylvania, the University of Wisconsin and Pennsbury High School.
As a national leader in the fight against domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse, Troy Vincent’s dedication to advocacy and leadership has made a significant impact.
The East Texas Crisis Center has become a safe haven for those impacted by family violence, dating violence, sexual assault and violent crime.
The "Advancing The Game" Luncheon takes place October 29th from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at the W.T. Brookshire Conference Center. Vincent will be the keynote speaker and each ticket purchased contributes directly to the vital work of the East Texas Crisis Center, helping them provide essential services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
