Murder Warrant Issued for Suspect Wanted in a Tyler Motel Shooting

A murder warrant has been issued for a man suspected of a homicide at a Tyler Motel.

Tyler police are searching for 20-year-old Lawrence Charles Murphy who is considered armed and extremely dangerous. Murphy was last seen in a 1989 Chevrolet Caprice bearing Texas license plate CX3G877.

Murphy is a suspect in the homicide that occurred at the American Inn at 1800 West Erwin, June 15, 2013 around 4 a.m. The victim was identified as Wesley Scott Lester, 26, of Tyler.
