Motley Crue's 'Kickstart My Heart' interrupted Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher J.J. Putz on Saturday night, causing him to spike the ball into the mound during a game against the New York Mets. Even though Vince Neil and the rest of the band weren't actually at the ballpark, their 1989 song managed to cause some chaos on the diamond.

The Diamondbacks' sound man took the blame for the snippet of guitar that blared from the speakers at the wrong moment. The result was ball one, and it's possible Putz didn't recover: His next pitch was lined into the right-field corner for a double. At least the error didn't affect the game's outcome, as the Mets ended up winning 4-1, the same score at the time of the guitar shredding.

The Mets' announcers proved they're no experts on late-'80s rock. They compared Crue's Top 30 hit to the sound a cow makes. Someone needs to send them a copy of 'Dr. Feelgood' stat.
