Let’s Look at the 10 Most-Visited Texas State Parks
Texas is gigantic, there is so much to do and see and explore across the lone star state. There is never a reason to sit around saying you’re bored, just get outside and explore all that Texas has to offer which includes some of the best state parks in the country. Recently, Texas Parks and Wildlife released details regarding the most visited Texas state parks, and I thought the information was interesting, so I wanted to make sure to pass that along to you.
While I love going to parks, I didn’t know just how many state parks, natural areas, and historic sites are accessible within the state of Texas which is a total of 86 sites. The first parks were opened to the public back in the 1930s and the most recent park now operated by Texas Parks in Wildlife is the Old Tunnel State Park which opened in 2012. As you would expect there are future plans to build more sites for people to explore and enjoy.
Texas Most Visited Parks Doesn’t Mean Best
