Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation Foundation has set up a fund for Lindale Texas’ beloved K-9 officer Ogar, who lost his life in the line of duty on January 19th, 2016.

K-9 Ogar was shot and killed while attempting an apprehension of a subject who was in a stolen automobile In Lindale Texas. Ogar was tracking one of the 3 subjects in a wooded area when he was shot.

K-9 officer Ogar was utilized throughout East Texas on many law enforcement cases. Ogar, along with his handler Deputy Constable Kevin Petty, assisted in drug seizures, search and rescues as well as suspect apprehensions.

The 2 ½ year old Belgian Malinois, served with Smith County Precinct 5 for 1 ½ years and was certified in Search and Rescue, Narcotics and Attack and Protection.
