Man Wanted in Texas Found Working in Cozumel, Mexico
(KNUE-FM) When you commit a crime in Texas there will be consequences, even if you try to run from them.
One man just found that out the hard way as he was facing multiple child sexual assault charges here in Texas and was found hiding out in Cozumel, Mexico.
Who is the Suspect and Details on His Charges
According to NBCDFW, the man wanted for child sexual assault charges dating back to 2012 is Rogelio “Christopher” Gonzales
Gonzales is now behind bars and will be facing charges in both Johnson and Tarrant counties.

How Was the Suspect Found?
The details aren’t clear on exactly how law enforcement tracked down Gonzales, but they did state that he was arrested recently after being found to be living and working as a scuba instructor in Cozumel.
As you would expect with a case that has been going on for this long, law enforcement was happy to finally catch Gonzales.
He is now in custody at the Johnson County Law Enforcement Center with a $1 million dollar bond, but that is just for the charges in Johnson County.
Gonzales is also facing a $50,000 bond for the charges out of Tarrant County.
Law Enforcement Won’t Let Up in Texas
The Assistant DA Christy May said, “this arrest demonstrates our office’s unwavering commitment to pursuing justice, regardless of how long it takes.”
It’s unclear when Gonzales will have his next court date.
Once again, we cannot thank the law enforcement officers working to protect Texas citizens.
And working diligently to track down those who have committed crimes in the past here in the Lone Star State.
