The Juneteenth Association of Tyler Has Shared Details On This Year's Celebration.

107.3 Kiss-FM, #1 For R&B and Community is super excited to once again celebrate OUR national holiday Juneteenth in East Texas! And we're proud to help out our friends at the Juneteenth Association of Tyler to let you know about this year's great lineup of fun events for Juneteenth 2024!

From Food Trucks to Gospel music to the annual Juneteenth Parade, there's something for everyone as we celebrate our history and freedom.

Juneteenth will be celebrated in Tyler the weekend of June 14 and June 15 with 3 major events being presented by the Juneteenth Association. But the fun actually begins THIS weekend with its first ever "Food Truck Fest"! Let's take a look at what's popping!

Friday June 8 - Power Wheels Parade & Food Truck Fest

Bring your little one to participate in a fun POWER WHEEL PARADE for kids 7 and younger at Woldert Park starting at 9:30 am! You must sign a waiver first to participate but there's no entry fee. You can sign up at the Tyler Metro Building on Gentry.

The Food Truck fest takes off on the same day from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Woldert Park in Tyler with Fun, food and music for everyone! Come out and check out some of the best food trucks in the city!

Friday June 14th- Gospel Praise Fest

The annual Juneteenth Praise Fest is going UP on June 14th at 6:30 PM at College Hill Baptist Church in Tyler with live performances from:

• North Tenneha Church Of Christ Male Choir
• The Hampton Singers
• Dominique Ellis
• Rev. Marcus Jackson & The New Five Ways Of Joy
• East Texas Elite Roses Dance Team

• The Praise Fest Community Choir

Saturday June 15th - Juneteenth Parade And Celebration In The Park.

Of course the Annual Juneteenth Parade is happening beginning at 9:00 AM. If you want to participate in the parade, you have to fill out and return an application to be either in the parade, a vendor or a float.

You can get a packet at the Tyler Metro Chamber of Commerce on Gentry Parkway or get with a member of the Juneteenth Association.

Following the Parade, the annual "Celebration In The Park' will take place at Woldert Park with lots of fun for the entire family!
