Johnny Depp may be an acting legend, but hes got a talent for music as well. Word is his latest collaboration is with Steven Tyler. More after the jump.

Johnny Depp was recently interviewed by Extra, where he said in recent times hes been hanging out with lead singer of  Aerosmith and American Idol host Steven Tyler. Together they've been writing songs.

"We've been hanging out here and there," Depp said. "He's someone I've admired greatly for such a long time. The idea of writing songs with him is a dream come true."

This isn't the first time Depp has been a part of music. In early 1993, Depp teamed up with Butthole Surfers frontman Gibby Haynes and bassist Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers to form the band P.

Also after an interview with the Boston Herald, Depp  said he wouldn't mind playing as Steven Tyler in a film based on Aerosmith. "I would give it a shot, why not?", said Depp.

So you think that would be a good role for Depp? And would you look forward to a Johnny Depp album?
