The number one grocery store in Texas should come as no surprise for most; the number one grocery store in Texas is H-E-B. See, it's not surprising right?

I think by now, many know how I feel about H-E-B. It's the number one store in all of the Lone Star state but it has yet to make its way to the Sun City! H-E-B has heard our pleas and still, we are ignored!

So maybe I was a little happy to hear that folks in Central Texas, San Marcos most specifically, don't want an H-E-B! What do they want? An Aldi.

On a local Reddit post, one San Marcos resident simply stated "I want an Aldi". To which other San Marcos residents replied in agreement! Some even dared to say they'd prefer the supermarket chain over another beloved Texas chain; Buc-ee's!

I'd take an Aldi over a Bucees.

That sounds like Texas blasphemy, but because El Paso also doesn't have a Buc-ee's, I'm kind of inclined to agree with the residents of San Marcos! Yeah, maybe El Paso doesn't want an H-E-B; we want an Aldi! Or even a Trader Joe's!

The main complaint as to why they want a different store? H-E-B is too crowded.

According to HEB themselves, there are over 400 HEB's across Texas and Mexico; and that doesn't sound right!

You're telling me that there are over 400 HEB's and not a single one is in El Paso?! El Pasoans are yearning- they're pleading to the HEB Gods that one day we may also be able to rejoice in their heavenly goodness; but now I'm on San Marco's side; we want an Aldi!
