Huge Recall Texas Truck Owners Need To Know About Now
A massive recall of around 130,000 pickup trucks, many in Texas, has been announced by the manufacturer.
One of the pickup truck worlds "big 4" ... Ford, Chevrolet, Dodge, GMC ... has announced a recall that the owners of these vehicles need to act on quickly.
Fortunately, the risk of injury because of this glitch is very slight but there is also a chance that owners could be cited by police due to the defective part not working properly.
The National Transportation Safety Administration, (NHTSA), reported that a recall has been issued by Dodge for Dodge Ram 1500 pickups made in 2023 and 2024. The problem involves the trucks turn signals so the risk of injury is highly unlikely.
The fact that drivers can't signal in the usual manner could lead to an accident. Cops, unaware of the defect, may also ticket drivers for failing to signal. Hand signals are, of course, always an option.
Ram will repair the trucks at no cost to the owners. They, the owners, should receive a letter informing them of all this no later than 10/29/24.
Owners can bring their vehicles to their local Ram dealers, where they will inspect and if necessary, replace the steering column control module at no cost.
Those with questions or concerns can contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403, and mention that the number for this recall is A1B. - nj.com
