Everything's bigger in Texas, including our sports stadiums. It's true we have some of the biggest stadiums in the world of sports. But what are the biggest ones & and most importantly...what is THE biggest one in Texas? Well after comparing the capacity of some of the stadiums for football & baseball, we have the answer.

What are the biggest stadiums you'll find in Texas?

You might think that the home of any of the NFL teams we have in Texas like the Dallas Cowboys or the Houston Texans have the biggest stadium in the state. While they are BIG, they're not the BIGGEST. No there are a few bigger than them & here's the top 10:

Some of the other biggest stadiums you'll find in Texas include (these are the ones with a capacity of 40,000 or more):

  • Fort Worth's Amon G. Carter Stadium located at Texas Christian University (TCU), which has a capacity of 46,000.
  • Waco's McLane Stadium, home of the Baylor Bears, which has a capacity of 45,140
  • Minute Maid Park, the home of the Houston Astros, has a capacity of  41,168
  • The new home of the Texas Rangers, Globe Life Field in Arlington, has a capacity of 40,300
  • and TDECU Stadium, the home of the Houston Cougars, has a capacity of 40,000.

Now will there be bigger Texas stadiums in the future? I wouldn't doubt it. With the state growing and expanding, I won't be surprised if we see a newer and even BIGGER stadium in the future (or an existing one to have bigger capacities). But for now, these are the biggest ones you'll find in Texas.
