Texas Police Capture Hidden Suspect with Drone Assistance
Texas Police Execute a High-Tech Takedown: How Drones Assisted in Capturing a Not-So-Stealthy Suspect.
Police Aransas Pass Texas recently used a drone to spot a suspect "hiding" in a field full of tall weeds and grass.
I put the word "hiding' in quotes because, as you can see in the video at the bottom of this article, he not only is wearing a super-bright reflective orange vest, but he also made no attempt to actually get underneath any of that tall vegetation.
Why Wear That?
According to this article, he was running from the police in a stolen car. Did he make the decision to dress like a road crew worker as part of the plan to steal the car, not considering he might have to hide in the brush at some point?
Get Up in There Guy
I haven't in my life ever had to hide from a drone. Yet. But I would think I would attempt to get under some of those plants, not just plop down on top of them.
Bad Grammar
A Peaceful Resolution
The video ends with the cops cuffing the man without an altercation.
