It is officially spooky season here in East Texas. We know that for sure because whenever you go to the store there are Halloween decorations everywhere, that also means lots of Halloween candy which is not such a bad thing. But since it’s spooky season, I wanted to get into some of the nonsense and come up with rankings for which East Texas towns most likely to survive a zombie apocalypse.

Let me be clear, I don’t think a zombie apocalypse is happening anytime soon. Especially here in East Texas where people are proud supporters of our Second Amendment... zombies would have a much better chance in other parts of the country.

What East Texas Town Would Survive the Zombie Apocalypse?

While it’s funny to think about, which East Texas towns do you think would be the best place to be if there were a zombie apocalypse? I think that most East Texas towns would be a safe bet. But as always, I would love to know your opinion so feel free to send me an email with your thoughts at billy.jenkins@townsquaremedia.com. Especially if you think I got the rankings wrong as you see my answers below.

The Town You'd Want on Your Team

I truly don’t think that any East Texas town has less than a 50% survival rate. When things get tough or strange here in ETX, you see people come together and look out for each other. Which is exactly what would happen if we did see something crazy like a zombie apocalypse.

It’s not going to happen, but here are my rankings for ETX towns most likely to survive a zombie apocalypse.
