According to High-Schools.com, there are 3,834 high schools in Texas. Of these, 3,346 are public.

With that many in the state, it's easy to think numbers in each school would be spread out -- until you consider that some of these schools are in big cities while others are in little towns.

Which High School Has the Most Students in Texas?

Data from Public School Review shows that the biggest public high school is in Allen Texas -- named Allen High School. And yep, this city is a suburb in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The public high school has 5,273 students.

While there are a couple of schools listed above this one, those seem to be fully or primarily online, and I wanted to go by in-person attendance.

Allen High School also happens to have one of the most expensive high school football stadiums in Texas, with a reported construction cost of $70 million.
