Spotted: A Weird Sighting of an Albino Raccoon in College Station
Keep College Station Normal
If you live in the South, especially South Texas, you know the HUGE rivalry between Austin Texas, home of the Texas Longhorns, and College Station home of the Aggies.
Austin and College Station's rivalry is so extreme that they even have competing bumper sticker mantras! Austin owns " Keep It Weird" in part, as a nod, to the small business Mom and Pop shops you can find around the city.
Naturally folks hailing in College Station drive around with their own bumper stickers offering, " Keep College Station normal."
Well, that's all about to change.
It seems at least one of College Station's trash pandas are completely albino! And it's completely weird to even spot an albino racoon! And here, we all thought it was weird that Austin's racoons were all trying to open the lids on the new Tesla trucks!

KIDDING
We have trash pandas at the radio station! We named him Ricki! It seems that Ricki is likely a girl now that an entire family shows up after we rescued Ricki months ago when she got stuck smack dab in the middle of the hottest day of summer in our radio trash can. She had damn near given up until we found someone brave enough to get close enough to her ( ticked off raccoons are TERRIFYING) to feed her and get her water.
Meanwhile back in College Station...
According to Click2Houston, one very lucky College Station resident, Rudolfo Garza III found an albino racoon dumpster diving. He got to snap a few pics before finding out a very crazy fact.
"According to Texas Parks and Wildlife, the odds of a raccoon having albinism (completely white, red eyes, etc.) is 1 in 20,000 and the odds of seeing one in the wild could be 1 in 750,000" the article indicates!
Move over College Station, there's a new trash panda in town.
And we are here for it!
