This is the Las Palmitas Mini Market located at 1205 Wall Street in downtown Los Angeles. The store is no bigger than a shipping container, but someone recently walked into that store and bought a Powerball ticket that hit all six numbers for Wednesday's drawing for a jackpot worth over $1 billion.

As of this posting, no one has stepped forward to present the winning ticket, but the owners of this mini-market are in line to get a payout of about $1 million for selling that billion-dollar ticket.

New Millionaires in Texas

There were four tickets sold in the Lone Star State that matched the five non-Powerball numbers. Those winning numbers, by the way, were 7-10-11-13-24, with a red Powerball number of 24.

Each of those four tickets is worth $1 million, before the numerous deductions. None of the persons buying those winning tickets chose the Power Play option that would have doubled their jackpot to $2 million.

These tickets were sold at the following locations:

Houston - 9780 Bissonnett Street

The Powerball jackpot will drop to $20 million for the next drawing on July 22.

Mega Millions Continues to Grow

The estimated jackpot for the next Mega Millions drawing is up to $720 million, with an estimated cash value of $369.6 million. That drawing will take place on Friday, July 21.

As evidenced by the winning Powerball ticket sold in Los Angeles, sooner or later, someone will win these huge jackpots. Just keep in mind, your odds of winning are around 1 in 300,000,000.
