
An Illegal Texas Gun Trading Ring On Social Media Is Now Shut Down
Gun ownership is something that many Texans appreciate and take part in. Although there are rules and regulations you must follow if you want to be a legal gun owner in The Lone Star State.
These folks weren't abiding by the law. According to WFAA, there were seven men and one woman in Texas who were arrested after law enforcement conducted a sting operation to get illegal items off the streets.
Why Did Police Set Up This Gun Trade Sting Operation in Texas?
Police officers in Texas had to act when they found out about Glock switches being sold on social media.

All Suspects Facing Federal Gun Charges
Glock switches are illegal in the United States so six of the eight suspects are now facing federal gun charges. If convicted, each could face 10 years in federal prison.

The two suspects in this case have been charged with state-level gun crimes and engaging in organized criminal activity.
Multiple Agencies Worked on This Social Media Gun Sting Operation
Throughout the investigation, there were a total of four guns and 35 switch devices sold through social media.
After search warrants were granted an additional five switch devices, four guns, drugs, and cash were all seized. These Glock switch devices were found to be bought online from China and shipped to Texas.
This is another indication that crime doesn’t pay in Texas. Even if you think you can get away with a crime, there is a good chance that law enforcement knows about it and you will be held accountable for your actions.
