The iconic classic rock staple since the mid 70's known as Kansas will at last get an opportunity to stir up their own "Dust In The Wind" around East Texas on Sunday September 1st in Longview. The Belcher Center in Longview was able to secure the services of original Kansas members Phil Ehart and Rich Williams to "Carry On" the legacy of the band that hit the rock world back in 1974. Classic Rock 96.1 will tell you how to win FREE tickets to the show starting Tuesday morning with Jen Austin.

Kansas has survived musical "creative differences" separation with co-founder Kerry Livgren and Dave Hope who felt their Christianity needed more attention musically than Kansas was open to. The departure and retirement of lead singer Steve Walsh in 2014 seemed like the sure end of the 5 decades old rockers that started in Topeka, but they picked up another front man in Chicago native and former Shooting Star lead singer Ronnie Platt and kept cooking.

All through this summer, Kansas has been touring the country concentrating their playlist on longtime radio classics, assorted B-sides that are live show staples, as well as some new material from their last album, "The Prelude Implicit".
