Former Dallas Mavericks point guard and newly signed New York Knicks star, Jason Kidd, was arrested early this morning (July 15) on charges of DWI after his SUV struck a utility pole in Water Mill, N.Y.

Kidd, who was the only occupant of the 2010 Cadillac Escalade, refused to take a breath test. He was taken to a local hospital and was treated for minor injuries.

Kidd's attorney told Newsday,  that he will enter a not-guilty plea and await further court proceedings.
