He's in both the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame and the Blues Hall Of Fame, & Saturday night, Elvin Bishop leads his 8-member ensemble on to the Maude Cobb Convention Center Rodeo Arena stage to wrap up two days of East Texas music & fun.

Big Pines Blues Festival 2017 festivities get underway this afternoon at 4, with free admission to all of today's performances.  The Ally Venable Band & The Peterson Brothers top Friday's bill.

Tomorrow's activities kick off with a junior showcase competition in the morning, followed by guitar workshops led by Jimmy Wallace of The Stratoblasters.  The ticketed performances begin at 2:30, with the Elvin Bishop Band slated to begin at 9pm.

Festival parking is free, & all proceeds go to support music education.
