East Texas Student Arrested for Bringing a Loaded Gun to School

Tyler ISD officials say a student was taken into custody Monday after bringing a weapon on the campus of Hogg Middle School.

The student was arrested, and the weapon was confiscated by Tyler Police and no students were harmed.

Authorities say it doesn’t appear the student had intentions of threatening staff or students. The case is under investigation.
