East Texas Man Considered Most Wanted Has Been Captured

A Nacogdoches man, one of Texas’ 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders is in custody after turning himself into authorities in New Orleans.

The Texas Department of Public Safety says 42-year-old Jimmy Ray McMillan, 42, is now in custody after reportedly found himself without transportation or shelter after a dispute with another individual and contacted the New Orleans Police Department, identifying himself as a wanted sex offender from Texas.

McMillan was wanted by the Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office for Failure to register as a Sex Offender. His criminal history includes Sexual Assault of a 9-year-old girl.

Since no tip was involved in the arrest, no reward will be paid
