East Texan Throws First Career NFL Touchdown
Former Texas Tech & Whitehouse Wildcats star quarterback Patrick Mahomes made his NFL debut for the Kansas City Chiefs as they took on the San Francisco 49ers on Friday. The East Texas native didn’t disappoint as he showed off his rifle arm by throwing a 41-yard bomb to Demarcus Robinson on his first attempt, and even though the pass was called back due to a holding penalty, he was letting the world know that he wasn’t going to be ignored.

Mahomes put on a display of his passing arsenal by completing to several receivers and even though some passes were dropped, he did throw his first touchdown pass - a risky toss through traffic - he finished with 7-of-9 passes for 49 yards and a touchdown.
The Chiefs lost to the 49ers by a score of 27-17.
Patrick Mahomes was selected as the 10th overall pick in National Football League Draft by Kansas City and our ETSN staff was there for the big moment.
